This morning I awoke before the sun....
Sitting alone in the still morning air,
I watched the first dances of light
appear in the dawn sky
through the eyes of a five year old kid
I held close to my heart......
His wonder
and excitement of nature’s simple treasures
brought me back to the time
before innocence was lost.
I have been away so long.........
